Cheese debut!

We made our cheese debut today at Mars Hill Winter Farmers and Artisans Holiday Market! I forgot how nice markets can be. Weather could not have been better. It was a perfect post-peak foliage fall day: warm and sunny without a bit of breeze. I believe it was the most social interactions crammed into 3 hours I have had since pre-pandemic. Thank you to everyone who came out.

We introduced our Craggy Pinnacle, Mountain Jack, Big Tomme, Monastic and our Swiss cheese

It was a momentous day. It felt like the last 10 years of milking cows has finally come to a point of fruition. With each passing year over the last decade, we have accumulated the equipment, built our creamery and gained enough knowledge to produce a unique and handcrafted array of our very own Appalachian mountain cheeses.

There they are, pictured below, on display for the world to see.

So…how was it?

I look forward to seeing everyone next week.
